Dec 15, 2008 I've recently purchased a TREE J325, with the Delta 20, and the documentation that came with it is woefully lacking on PROGRAMMING. The two notebooks I rec'd were entitled, 'Journeyman 325 Installation, Power-on, Operation, and Maintenance' from TREE; and 'Customer Information Manual' from Dynapath.

Dynapath still sells the manuals so selling a copy would be stepping on their toes (copyright). And yes, they do pay attention. I know the Delta 10/20 manual sells for about $210.00; pricey but well worth it if you are new to this control.
Identifying DynaPath and Autocon Models
1. What model control do I have?

The surest way to determine the control model on a DynaPath or Autocon control is to check the serial number.0003The serial number is a unique, 5-digit number that begins with a 1, 2, 3, 5, or 6 and will be displayed on the control's serial number tag. Refer to the next topic on how to find your control's serial number tag. Delta 40/50/60 and Delta 1000/2000 series controls also display the control serial number in the upper right-hand corner of the initial start-up screen.
Model number can also be determined by referring to the firmware level installed on the control. The firmware level is always displayed centered near the top of the initial start-up screen of the control.
All System/Delta 10/20 controls had 4-digit firmware levels preceeded by the letter 'P' and possibly a revision letter (i.e. PA5523).
Beginning with Delta 30 controls, a different identifying system was used that is labeled as the 'CNC Exec ID' and utilizes numbers and letters in the following format: yy#.z##.##. The '#' denotes digits. The positions 'yy' would denote the language (for example, 'SP' is used for Spanish language firmware), although English language software has '00' in this position. The position 'z' would be either '0' on a Delta 30, 'I' on a Delta 40/50/60, or 'D' on a Delta 1000/2000 control.

A more rudimentary method for determining the model number (in case the control cannot be booted) is to look just beneath the control's display unit (usually a CRT).
-System 10/20 controls had no software-defined keys (soft keys) below the standard 9' CRT.
-Delta 10/20 controls would have 5 working soft keys (later controls in this series had unused 'page' keys to the left and right of the 5 usable keys).
-Delta 40/50/60 controls have 7 square soft keys, with 2 'page' keys positioned left and right of the soft keys.0003The display unit is a CRT, either 9' or 12'.
-Delta 1000/2000 controls have an identical soft key arrangement as the Delta 40/50/60. The display unit, however,0003is a 12' LCD (also known as a flat-panel) screen. Acrobat distiller for windows 7 64 bit free download.
2. How do I find the serial number of my DynaPath control?
Delta 10/20 as well as Delta 30 controls had a single muffin fan at the top of the card rack. The serial number tag was usually placed next to the fan. Card racks were sometimes oriented horizontally rather than vertically - simply locate the muffin fan and look on the surface beside it for the tag. An example tag is shown to the right.
Delta 40/50/60 controls as well as the Delta 1000/2000 controls had two muffins fans, so the serial number tag was usually placed on a side plate of the card rack or the cover. The location will vary - but these controls also display the serial number in the upper right-hand corner of the initial start-up screen, so if the control can be booted, the serial number can be read from the display screen.

3. My control is an Autocon control. What is the relationship between DynaPath and Autocon?
DynaPath CNC controls were manufactured by the Bendix Industrial Controls Division until 1984. After being sold by Bendix that year, the company was renamed DynaPath Systems, Inc. The company was moved during 1992 from Detroit, Michigan to a nearby suburb, Farmington Hills. The company was also renamed Autocon Technologies, Inc., but continued to sell controls using the DynaPath trade name. It was during this period that a controls' tags and covers would have carried the Autocon name.
Since 2001, the company has been called DynaPath USA or, more recently, a return has been made to the name DynaPath Systems, Inc. The company is now located in Livonia, Michigan. U341e transmission valve body manual.
